We have had a very busy term 1 so far. Last week we went to the Ballarat Botanical Gardens for an explore. Our older students are also finishing up a unit on Harry Potter so we have been studying some Potter inspired kitchen chemistry as part of science. Earlier in the term we completed a Colin Thiele literature unit and took the opportunity to study Captain Cook. Other literature studies have focused on Folk tales, John Burningham Books, The Story of Ferdinand and Aesop’s Fables. Next term we will have our ‘street library’ set up and we will be looking forward to our excursion to see Wizard of Oz in Melbourne. We will finish off on Thursday this week with a free-dress day, party pie lunch and a local excursion.
