End of 2023
20 December 2023
Our year has come to an end. Finally, almost back to normal after the pandemic closures.
I always say we had a busy year, but we certainly did in 2023. This year as far as excursions are concerned…we went to Mary Poppins, Old Melbourne Gaol, Melbourne Museum, the Aquarium, Sovereign Hill, the Ballarat Art Gallery, Phillip Island to see the Penguin Parade and our 10-week swimming/gymnastics program in term 3.
Around the grounds we remodelled a garden bed, replaced our old picnic table and put up a shade sail over it. (Also made full use of our outdoor learning space – decking finished at the end of 2022)
We continued with our Tutoring program, had a visit from the MARC Van every fortnight and had music therapy one day a week.
Next year we hope to go to another big arts performance (maybe Wicked) a zoo visit (maybe Werribee Zoo) a history excursion (RAAF Point Cook and Bendigo) and we are already booked into or swimming/gym program for another year. We hope to replace our old front fence and more work on our garden beds and replace old asphalt with concrete. We will also have art/STEM therapy once a week as well. Next year we will be reviewing our previous Strategic Plan and setting new directions for 2024-28.
We will have 10 students in 2024 (same as this year) with spaces still available for new students from our Glen Park zone.
School starts back for kids (here at Glen Park anyway) on the 30th.
You can check on our day-to-day activities on the school’s Facebook page. (Photos are from our recent excursion to Sovereign Hill, our concert and Christmas lunch)
Thanks, Cherie, for keeping our website looking great.
Have a great holiday
